Voter suppression:
John Edwards is a long-time opponent of voter-suppression and plans to do
everything possible to eliminate it in 2008.
Touch-screen
voting: John Edwards is the first (and currently only) major presidential
candidate to call for a ban on touch-screen voting. Electronic
touch-screen voting is a process that makes it difficult to ensure that every
vote is properly counted. It should be eliminated.
Voting Rights
For Citizens of Washington D.C.: John Edwards has been a long-time
advocate of giving D.C. voters representation in Congress. While in the
Senate, he was a co-sponsor of the No Taxation Without Representation Act,
which would give D.C. citizens voting representation in the Senate and House.
Voting
rights Act: John Edwards is a strong supper of the Voting Rights Act.
